Justified: Fixer

by John Sleek

The great introduction in this episode is of the character of Arnold  Pinter a character who runs his empire from a dinner restaurant table. A exiled New Yorker who founds himself in Kentucky for the last twelve years.  Now he wants to save his money and just get out of here. One of the many ways he does this is by being a very open police informer(irony truly).  The actor who plays Arnold Pinter, my favorite from Sex in the City, truly shines in this episode. A tip from Arnold sends him on a chase after a convict called Teddy. Continue reading

We start the second episode with another shooting but not death as Boyd Crowder survived his encounter with Raylan. It starts with Boyd Crowder injured in the jail hospital confessing his sins and telling him of the revelation that Raylan was a tool of God. Justified- Fire In the Hole

by John Sleek

Now when it comes to reviewing this season of Justified I am going to not being doing a review of the plot of the episode rather I want to talk more about the themes or genre of the show. He walks and talks the western in his acting in Deadwood and now this show.  Continue reading

Fairly Legal: Priceless

Now, my first reaction honestly is we got a look at the credits and  it is amateur hour. The music and the overall graphics are horrible but let us move on. This episode is nice that it has a singular story that we focus on. Steve Janks has spent the last twenty years unjustly in jail. So her ex husband brings her into the case. She can’t figure him out until the end of the episode. Continue reading

Kindnap and Ransom: Series 1

by John Sleek

In all reality, although I love British television, this season of television is only three hours. Three episodes ranging from forty five to fifty minutes. What is interesting from the start is we have in British television and this show the atheist hero. Continue reading

The tv shows you should watch: The Wire

I would normaly say that I hate lists or anything like the snobbish  or the  lists that claim it all. But then again I think if you want to write in television or just impress your friends these are the shows you should watch.  So the first show up on this blog is the show The Wire.  I would say watch this first and foremost because it will hold a rare place in television of  being one of the first tv shows to truly be a mirror on a city’s society.
