Just when you thought the Chuck writers couldn’t possibly contrive us any more family members: Volkoff has a daughter! With Timothy Dalton dead and his evil empire in snooze mode, the spy family has no nemesis and, therefore, no one to kill time with before Chuck and Sarah’s wedding. Chuck vs. the Seduction Impossible

CHUCK VS. THE SEDUCTION IMPOSSIBLE

I was under the impression that last week’s mom-rescued/baby-born/question-popped extravaganza was the series finale. Well, it was supposed to be, but NBC ordered more episodes and I somehow missed the memo. Last week’s “Push mix” ep was written to be a finale, season or series, and it was a great note to end the series on. Easily one of the series’ best episodes. Frankly, this show has been falling out of my favor for a long time. Chuck and Sarah simply do not have the chemistry to keep their relationship troubles interesting. This has been especially obvious in the last two seasons as the missions have shifted to accenting their relationship, as opposed to vice versa in seasons 1 & 2. A lot of season 3 was actually painful to watch and season 4 has had some serious lows, as well; though the appearance of Timothy Dalton has revived it somewhat. Continue reading
